Google Ads Updates to enforcement procedures for repeat violations
Google Ads recently announced that as of June 2022, they will be updating the enforcement of repeat violations. They will be adding nine additional policies to their strike-based system.
The additional policies will be focused on:
- Compensated sexual acts
- Mail-order brides
- Clickbait
- Misleading ad design
- Bail bond services
- Call Directories, forwarding services
- Credit repair services
- Binary options
- Personal loans
If Google detects three violations, the account will get suspended.

These new changes do NOT apply to Google’s egregious violation policy. An egregious violation is considered so serious that it is unlawful or poses significant harm to users. This will results in immediate account suspension without prior warning. In that case, an advertiser will not be allowed to advertise with Google again.
Egregious violations include:
Circumventing systems
Coordinated deceptive practices
Counterfeit
Promotion of unauthorized pharmacies
Trade sanctions violations
Sexually explicit content
